A knowledgeable customer used a classic Dutch bond named 'Wildverband' (wild bond). With no particular order or plan slips are broken/cut into random lengths and laid. This breaks up the brick work and adds real appeal.
The bond and mortar colour drastically affect the overall design and is worth thinking about - not everything needs to be stretcher bond.
