"The Look"

The Brief

We were approached by a long established, trusted developer to supply a red smooth brick slip finish for a large development in the planned suburban development ‘Adamstown’ just outside of Dublin.

This new town, with the travel infrastructure support of the privately funded new railway station, has planning provision for around 10,000 homes. The layout and style of the development intends to promote cycling and green transportation into the heart of Dublin for its residents.

Our Project Story

Matclad supplied over one million brick slips and corners for this project over a rolling 18 month program.

Due to the batch processes we employ to manufacture brick slips, we had to maintain consistent product recipes and firing curves over this long program by means of regular maintenance and  quality and assurance inspection to ensure adherence to BS-EN771, the main technical specification for bricks and clay brick slips.

Matclad Limited have technical expertise in the manufacturing of clay products due members of the team having run high volume clay bricks and various tile manufacturing businesses over their careers. This small team of people has some of the broadest technical ceramic expertise in the heavy clay and brick slip field, certainly in the UK and within Europe.

Who we’ve worked with

  1. Jonathan Sheridan says:

    Hello,

Do you ship to Malahide near Dublin? I’m only looking for 8m2 of Avon red smooth brick slips. How much would you charge for delivery?

    Thanks,
    Jonathan Sheridan

    • Paul says:

      Hello John,

We do ship to Ireland regularly but often the carriage kills the job. I do have a 3rd party who regularly orders though and ships across the water – he likely will have that in stock.

If you call the office I can give you his contact details.

      Regards

      Paul @ Matclad
